The 15th of May 2016, saw the book launch of ”Knickers Models Own”, the name of the book and campaign set by Caroline Jones in the wake of her mother’s passing in 2014.

She decided to dedicate the campaign to remember her mother and this was the key drive behind the campaign. Dressing every day in a different charity shop outfit, the campaign rocketed and in the 365 day period, the campaign raised over £50k.

The book launch was a the pinnacle of a triumphant year of fundraising and brand awareness for the critical work carried out by Cancer Research UK.

Directors of Charity Shopper David Stretton-Downes and Nathan Hodgson attended the event, held in the prestigious National Gallery. The evening was a huge success with 100% profits of the sale of the book going to CRUK, featuring photographs and imagery by Rankin and other A list celebrities.

Founder of Charity Shopper, David Stretton-Downes said, ”Caroline is a true inspiration, and only helps amplify the fact that the high street is certainly not dead, and that charity and brand awareness are still in the forefront of the minds of people wanting to help and make a difference.”
